The International Undergraduate Programs (IUP) is a series of sophisticated programs designed for students who plan to study abroad. They offer customized preparatory and partial undergraduate courses and activities. Relying on the skillful faculty and extensive global networks of SCUT, the programs have been widely acclaimed by the public since their launch in 2005. In 2012, the Ministry of Education of China established the Training and Research Centre for Overseas Studies in SCUT ; in 2017, SCUT became one of the Strategic Partners of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) under Ministry of Education of China.Based on the outstanding faculty and educational resources of the university, the IUP offers courses for high school graduates (or students of the same educational level) who plan to start or continue undergraduate study abroad. 1+3 international undergraduate programs are currently available in the school, covering Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Architecture, Design and other majors. Students who complete the SCUT courses and meet the requirement of foreign language level and academic GPA will be offered the opportunity to study abroad.
